On Select Fridays throughout the semester, Conservatory students and alumni gather for professional development seminars, hosted by Conservatory Faculty, and theater and film professionals from all over the Washington DC area.
These Seminars are an oppurtunity for students and alumni to grow and gain information that may not be addressed through normal classroom process.

The Conseravtory recently hosted a Make-up design seminar for our students and alumni, and after teaching the students "Basic Corrective" designs, Faculty member Doug Wilder went through a series of special effects designs with latex and make-up. We hope you enjoy the pictures!

Professional development is a key componant to actor training. It's not enough to just know how to act, an actor needs to learn a lot of other special skills in order to succeed. The Conservatory ensures it's students are ready not only to act on stage and on camera, but that they have the tools and skill sets they will need to succeed in the real world.
